Green Design Thinking
Transforming ideas into tangible concepts
Waste Revolution Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to making recycling accessible in Panama.
Summary
*Lack of readily available and trustworthy public information
Challenges
*Poor infrastructure for recyclable material collection
*Limited collective awareness regarding waste as a problem

Process
We used the Design Thinking Method to figure out and tackle the challenges. Starting as a team of 2 and growing to 5, we followed five key steps: empathy, definition, ideation, prototyping and testing. We conducted user tests, surveys, research, and more to find out who was really affected by the problem and find innovative solutions.
Solutions
Innovative collection
We partnered with local shops like: cafes, beauty salon or gyms in order to integrate recycling seamlessly into daily routines.
Mobile App
A user-friendly app offering incentives, a map of convenient recycling locations, and on-demand collection services.
Educational Programs
